My name is Cody. I am a Canadian, 25-year-old wannabe-cat-lady (who will eventually be a real cat lady, if I ever settle down in one place! I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I have spent the last two years teaching in Bristol, England. My next adventure will be teaching English in China with my partner, Tim. Throughout my life, the two main constants have been my love for both cats and food. If I could find a way to get paid to pet cats and eat, I would do it, trust me.
I have always loved writing. When I was little, I was always making “books” out of stapled-together printer paper, or writing stories about my cat on the family computer (remember when that was a thing)? Later, I subjected my poor teachers and classmates to readings from an epic story about elves co-written by myself and my best friend. As a teen, I filled my notebooks with very cringeworthy poetry about boys who didn’t like me.
Now, instead of writing about elves and boys, I have begun writing about my adventures as a vegan teacher who caught the travel bug and hasn’t looked back. I want to prove that veganism does not have to be a limitation, and it doesn’t have to be difficult or pretentious either! Expect recipes, vegan travel and lifestyle tips, travel guides and musings, and help for new and aspiring vegans!
So come, join me, take my hand (okay, maybe don’t do that) and together we will discover a whole new world of food and adventure — Aladdin and Jasmine style.
We’ve got this!
